Featured on Cafe Mom Daily Buzz

So how cool is this I was contacted by Cafe Michelez from the Daily Buzz Beauty and Style section on Cafe Mom to do a DIY How to on my Heart and Bow Earrings last Tuesday evening.

Only problem was I had to do it by 6pm Wednesday evening... So I scrambled around pulled it off and sent her a complete list of supplies and the how to with pictures.

Halloween

YAY!! and BOO!!

Another Halloween has come and gone :*(
Why can't it be Halloween all year long? I'm ok with skipping Christmas.. or I can just do a Halloween Christmas.
On Halloween my Mom (http://thecountryprimitiveshoppe.blogspot.com/) and I carved Nightmare before Christmas Pumpkins to surprise my son Logan who loves the movie. I Made the Pumpkin King and she did Jacks Face.

Here they are out on the Porch welcoming our many (2) Trick or Treater's.

Logan loved them when he came home. He saw them and said "Ooooohhh A Pumpkin!!" "Mommy Look Pumpkin King!!" "And Look Halloween."

It's said Halloween is over and also said that I didn't get to be married. I'm looking forward to next year... And speaking of wedding here are those Necklaces I promised..

I made these for my brides maids. I was so proud of how they came out. I can't wait to make more to sell in the shop.

Maid of Honors Necklace.. Slightly different then the other girls.

A Group Shot of all the necklaces.

The Necklaces all packaged up and ready to hand out to the girls.

I'll get a female model probably my cousin Gabby (my Junior Bride's maid) to model her necklace and post some pics soon.

Things to look forward to:

  • Warcraft jewelry on Etsy.
  • Sneak peak of wedding goodies.
  • And A tutorial on How I made my brides maid necklaces.

I broke my leg....

On Sunday I was walking down the stairs talking on my phone, carrying my beads and my tools when my foot decided to slip right out from under me. My left foot went in front and my right....well, it decided to go under me and break. :*(

We had to call for an ambulance and guess what?!?! The fireman came and they were soo cute..lol and I hadn't shaved my legs in like 4 days. I was sooo embarrassed not only for my hairy legs but for the fact that I fell down the stairs. I'm so glad we postponed the wedding already, or I would be hobbling down the isle. Logan was so cute to he was so concerned about me. He kept saying "Are you ok mommy?" "You alright?" "Mommy Boo boo?" He even patted my head. At one point when the EMT's were putting me on the bed Logan stuck his tongue out and I told him "Hey don't be fresh" the EMT's looked at me and smiled. I knew they were thinking wow she's defiantly in pain but still correcting him. LOL I guess being a mom comes first for me no matter what is going on.

When I got to the ER there were like 5 RN's standing around so I made a comment to the EMT that being taken to a room in the ER was like the walk of shame. I think they were surprised at how calm I was. It's not that big of a deal to me this is after all my 3rd and 4th broken bone. That's right, I broke my leg in 2 places. The worst part of the ER was having to move my leg for X rays before I had any pain medication. It hurt so bad. They said I may need surgery on my ankle. The doctors set my bones in place and put a temporary soft cast on my leg.

So now I'm at home waiting for a doctors appointment STILL! I just hope I can get in soon, if not I will be going back to the ER to get everything straightened up. If I need surgery I want to get it done and over with. Being stuck on the couch and not able to take care of my own son is really starting to upset me.

Here's a pic of my broken leg... because I know you want to see.

Good thing is if I can get all my supplies down stairs I can work on a few new items. Because I know I have been slacking off. I really want to get my Warcraft items listed soon. O and I can't wait to show you all they wonderful necklaces I made for my brides maids. But that will be in the next post. See you all soon. :D

Hectic Life...

So, I haven't posted in a few, like always I really need to like write on a calender when to post. :D

I was planning on getting married on Halloween but my fiance's Grandfather became very very ill and is in the hospital.
So out of respect for him and his family I gave him the choice to postpone. I think he was very relieved that him and his family could stay by his grandfathers side and grieve without having to stress about the upcoming nuptials. So we are postponing... I'm a lil bummed but I know it's a good choice.

I hope to be posting more and keeping everyone updated on my wedding status and my DIY projects. I have a lot done but I have to say I was quite the slacker and a lot wasn't finished for the '09 wedding so the '10 wedding will be even better!!

I am also hoping to get some of my World of Warcraft necklaces and bracelets up on my Etsy. I was working on them for what seemed like forever and I kinda just got wrapped back up in raiding... I know.. bad.....

That said, I can not wait to get back into the swing of things.

First off Sorry I haven't posted in a little bit. Life has been hectic.

So I just did my first real custom Order from etsy.
I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. The buyer was the sweetest person ever. She even ordered a second necklace. We worked together on different patterns for her necklace and finally decided on one. She left me the most amazing feedback also.
Anyway here's some pictures of the 2 necklaces. I even made matching single pearl earrings (just forgot to take a picture of them.)

Her necklace....

And the necklace I made for the Bride (her friend)

The colors are her friends wedding colors. She was super sweet and even said that she has another wedding coming up and will definitely order from me again. I'm so very excited. The next bride may also even order necklaces for the bridal party.
Here's the feedback she left me.

I just LOVE this necklace! The colors match a pair of swallows I have tattooed on my back. The quality of materials and craftsmanship are better than any necklace I've ever purchased in the past. She worked with me on color choices and pattern choices as well. I will definitely be a repeat customer! Thanks!!!

I bought this one for my friend's wedding. The quality is top-notch. Lunabellam worked with me to find the right colors and patterns for this necklace and I couldn't be happier. She even threw in a pair of matching earrings! I will definitely shop her again! Thanks so much!
